REPUBLIKA.COID, JAKARTA -- The Haji Finance Management Agency (BPKH) welcomes the collaboration between its subsidiary, Bank Muamalat and the Central Executive (PP) of Muhammadiyah. Head of BPKH Implementing Agency, Fadlul Imansyah considers this cooperation an important step to expand the program of community welfare.
“The programs that BPKH has supported, such as the establishment of Masjid At-Tanwir in Menteng, Pondok Pesantren Muallimin, and West Bandung Hospital are a clear proof of the synergy established between BPKH and Muhammadiyah,” Fadlul said in a statement in Jakarta, Friday (9/8/2024), in a press release.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two parties was held in Yogyakarta, by Director of Bank Muamalat, Karno and Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir. This cooperation covers two main scopes.
First, the utilization of Muamalat bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) services and programs to support the development of Muhammadiyah managed branches, branches, and mosques. Second, Muamalat bank will cooperate with Muhammadiyah's national zakat institution, Lazismus, in various programs focused on financial management and zakat support.
As part of this cooperation, Bank Muamalat is committed to providing Rp 2 trillion in financing for the development of the Muhammadiyah Business Charity (AUM), which includes hospitals, colleges, boarding houses, and mosques. Another important aspect is financial management and Hajj aggregator programs.
Bank Muamalat will socialize and manage Hajj related finances in the Muhammadiyah neighborhood, to ensure a safe, affordable, and accessible process for worshippers. This prototype of cooperation is expected to bring significant benefits in advancing, enlightening, and prospering the nation.
“With this strategic step, BPKH hopes to continue to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people through various initiatives focused on the common good,” Fadlul concluded.
