REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta) imposes a rate of Rp 1 to celebrate the 497th Anniversary (Anniversary) of Jakarta City. The promo is valid on June 22 and 23, 2024.

“For two days from June 22, 2024 to June 23, 2024, the fare for TransJakarta services is only Rp1,” said TransJakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday (22/6/2024).

This promo coincides with the 497th Anniversary of Jakarta City which carries the theme “Jakarta is a Global City with Million Pesons”. The application of this special tariff is based on the Decree of the Head of Transportation Department of DKI Jakarta No e-0051 of 2024 regarding TransJakarta services for BRT, feeder transport services to integration services.

Then, Mikrotrans services, TransJakarta Cares, other Jakarta transportation assignment services and free services for certain communities according to Governor's Regulation No. 133 of 2018, which already has a rate of Rp 0, also remain valid. Welfizon said that it prepared TransJakarta buses to accommodate people who use TransJakarta services for mobility and activity.

In addition, TransJakarta also added TransJakarta service hours especially for the 497th Anniversary celebration of Jakarta City held in Monas, Jakarta on Saturday (22/6/2024) evening. “With the IDR1 fare program, people will reduce the use of private vehicles and switch to public transportation, especially TransJakarta,” Welfizon said.

People can use TransJakarta Rp1 service to enjoy various Jakarta Anniversary celebrations such as Jakarnaval in Monas Area, Jakarta Light Festival in Kota Tua to Jakarta International Marathon 2024. TransJakarta operates 24 hours on 14 corridors and four Mikrotrans routes. Customers can access by using an electronic money card (KUE).
