REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) prepared 48 Whoosh fast train trips capable of transporting 28 thousand passengers per day during the Waisak holiday period May 23-24, 2024.

“KCIC has anticipated the high interest of the public for holidays by operating as many as 48 Whoosh itineraries per day,” said KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in Bandung, West Java, Thursday (23/5/2024).

He added in those periods, KCIC still sells tickets with a dynamic pricing scheme or dynamic fare by offering more economical prices at certain travel periods.

“Welcoming this long holiday period, KCIC implemented a dynamic fare scheme where train fares adjust departure days and hours up to selected routes. Passengers can get the cheapest fare of IDR 150 thousand at certain hours,” Eva said.

According to him, with the implementation of such dynamic fare schemes, passengers gain the flexibility to choose a timetable according to the desired fare.

“The implementation of this dynamic fare scheme has also succeeded in attracting passengers to take advantage of the Whoosh fast train as the preferred mode of transport on a regular day or holiday,” he said.

Eva added that people who will spend a long holiday in the Waisak period can take advantage of the Whoosh fast train service to shorten the Jakarta-Bandung travel time and vice versa.

“KCIC is ready to provide the best service for the comfort of all passengers during this long holiday weekend,” he said.

Eva reminds potential Whoosh passengers to time their journey to the station so as not to experience delays.

“Passengers are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure. This is because the boarding gate will be closed five minutes before departure for passenger safety reasons,” Eva said.
