REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --About 130,000 people visited Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta, on the holiday of the Ascension of Jesus Christ and joint leave that took place May 9-11, 2024. Visitors crowd the area from the morning, even getting more crowded in the afternoon.
“We recorded Thursday (9/5/2024) the total number of visitors was 52 thousand people, then Wednesday (10/5/2024) there were 29 thousand and Saturday (11/5/2024) yesterday as many as 49 thousand tourists,” said Corporate Communication PT Pemungan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Ariyadi Eko Nugroho in Jakarta, at the end of last week.
He said tourist sites that many tourists visit include Ancol Lagoon Beach and Carnaval. Then amusement rides in Fantasy World (Dufan) such as Ecovention, Ocean Dream Ocean, and Atlantis Water Adventure.
“We are deploying all personnel on the ground so that visitors can travel comfortably and safely, and be satisfied,” he said.
He said no special performances had been prepared in celebration of Eid al-Fitr or the Lunar New Year holidays last year. “The average number of visitors is 40 thousand people per day or the same as a normal holiday,” he said.
One of the visitors from Bekasi, Kartika, 29, admitted that he never gets tired of visiting the Ancol area because it offers many attractions and music entertainment. “Despite the large number of visitors, we can still enjoy the tourist facilities here. The children are very happy when they take a vacation to Ancol,” he said.
