REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG— Pengembang Besar Peruniatu Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) reminds that the new government should not then easily change the educational curriculum that already exists in schools.

“We always learn that at every turn there is a new curriculum. Later it will be evaluated by the new cabinet,” said Chairman of PB PGRI Prof. Unifah Rosyidi, in Semarang, Sunday (28/4/2024).

This was stated during the opening of the Provincial Working Conference V PGRI Central Java Bhakti Period XXII which took place at Balairung Universitas PGRI Semarang.

According to the Master of the University of Jakarta Negeri (UNJ), the change or alteration of the educational curriculum is actually not very important.

“So, our context doesn't really matter that change. The important thing is how the curriculum can move teachers and pupils to be able to renew themselves,” he said, accompanied by PGRI Chairman Jateng Dr Muhdi.

Moreover, he said, the change of educational curriculum should be based on a really mature study.

With regard to the new government, Unifah also hopes that the Minister of Education will later be a person who has a love for the world of education and teachers.

He said PGRI is also trying to convey input to the new government later on the ideal criteria of the Minister of Education.

“We are also in discussions to provide input in writing. The PGRI study institute will do so,” Unifah said.

Earlier, the Election Commission (KPU) of RI designated the presidential and vice presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the president and vice president elected as the result of the 2024 presidential election.

The determination was published in the news event number 252/PL.01.9-BA/05/2024 on Determination of Pairs of Presidential Candidates and Vice Presidents Elected In General Elections in 2024.

The terms of office of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin will expire on 20 October 2024. Jokowi has served two terms, with the first term paired with Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
