REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Chairman of the National Amanat Party (PAN) Yandri Susanto believes there will be no obstacles during the transition of government from President Joko Widodo to Prabowo Subianto.

“I believe there are no obstacles or obstacles for Mr. Jokowi to pass on, continue that leadership to Mr. Prabowo, God willing, there will be no obstacles. Likewise, Mr. Prabowo inherits Mr. Jokowi's power, God willing, there will be no obstacles,” Yandri said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (April 28, 2024).

Because, he said, the president and vice president elected in the period 2024-2049 are committed to continuing the programs of President Jokowi's government.

“Because it is Mr. Prabowo and Mas Gibran, of which PAN is part of the Forward Indonesia Coalition, we are supporting sustainability,” he said.

In addition, he added, Jokowi and Prabowo share the same mission, so he believes the leadership transition will not cause political turmoil.

“So, during this transition period there will not be any kind of alarming dynamism, I am sure there is none, including political shocks God willing there is no because Mr. Jokowi and Mr. Probowo have the same vision,” he said.

Earlier, Wednesday (24/4), the Election Commission (KPU) of RI designated Prabowo-Gibran as the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Spouse elected in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections in accordance with Commission Decision No. 504 of 2024.

Chairman of KPU RI Hashim Asy'ari explained that Prabowo-Gibran managed to win 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the total valid national votes and met at least 20 percent of the votes in each province spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia.
