REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs asks the public to be aware of offers regarding Hajj services without going through queues that are often encountered on social media.
“Many have been deceived by the lure of being able to go on Hajj without standing in line or the hajj immediately leaving. This kind of offer is more and more massively advertised on social media,” said Hilman Latief, Director General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Organization, in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4/2024).
In an advertisement encountered on social media, X, found offers in the form of being able to attend the Hajj without going through a queue. They claim to have special quotas as well as being able to use Hajj officer visas or pilgrim visas.
The fare offered for Hajj without queuing is around Rp 310 million. Of course, this figure is larger than the regular Hajj (Bipih) Travel Fee that worshippers have to pay, which is Rp 56 million.
Hilman insists that the visas used for Hajj worship are only Hajj visas. Therefore, he called on the public not to be deceived and deceived by the offer of Hajj with a visa outside the conditions set by Saudi Arabia. “We affirm again that for the Hajj departure one must use a Hajj visa,” he said.
Then in the offer at Medsos X, the visa process could be issued in a quick time. In fact, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is currently conducting a screening of regular Hajj candidates who have been registered in the Siskohat system.
