Jasa Raharja Spreads Banners to Anticipate Traffic Accidents

The purpose is to urge road users to be careful.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- PT Jasa Raharja of Central Sulawesi Province installed 130 safety warning banners at a number of laka prone points in the region to anticipate traffic accidents during Lebaran Eid 1445 Hijri homecoming.

“Jasa Raharja has carried out mapping of points that are considered prone to leakage and has deployed banners related to appeals in anticipation of accidents,” said Head of Jasa Raharja Operations and Public Relations Unit Sulteng Erwin Gunawan in Palu on Tuesday (9/4/2024).

He explained that the installation of banners at accident-prone points is an effort carried out by Jasa Raharja together with the police with the aim of urging road users to be careful when driving vehicles and to alert the road that traffic accidents occur frequently.

Erwin explained that PT Jasa Raharja Sulawesi Tengah has handed over benefits of about Rp 6.8 billion with an accident toll of 287 lives during the period January-March 2024. Casualties died, he said, as many as 70.09 percent and the number of injuries 29.90 percent.

From the demographic data of the deceased victims who have been handed over, they are predominantly in the area of the Parigi Moutong Police Station with benefits handed over as much as Rp 950 million. Therefore, Erwin said, it installed safety warning banners and alerted personnel to monitor traffic movements during this leaflet homecoming flow.

This is to create safety and the safety of people or travelers when traveling, so as to reduce the number of traffic accidents at Lebaran 2024 homecoming.

Jasa Raharja also provides free health services for people who will travel to Lebaran 2024 homecoming in some places where residents are crowded.

“This free health service is to ensure that people who want to travel home and transport drivers are in good health, so as to minimize the risk of traffic accidents due to poor health conditions of commuters and freight drivers,” he said.

He said that it also immediately coordinates with the relevant hospitals, in the event of a traffic accident. He added that people who return to Lebaran should use official transport, so that they can be protected by the state in case of undesired things.
