Fatayat NU Banyumanik Consistently Supports Orphans

Muslims are taught to love orphans.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG -- The Head of Children Branch (PAC) Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Banyumanik District, Semarang City, Central Java continuously holds various social activities during Ramadan 1445 H/2024 M. PAC Fatayat NU Banyumanik District invites orphans and dhuafa children to break their fast together (bukber), Saturday (5/4/2024).

In addition to enjoying bukber, they were also provided with benefits in the form of money and Lebaran gifts. Chairman of PAC Fayatat NU of Banyumanik District Hj Endang Listyowati explained that this bukber and comfort are a form of prosperity during the month of Ramadan, where Muslims are taught to love each other, especially to orphans and dhuafa.

“To that end, we invite dozens of orphans in Banyumanik District so that they can join us happily, especially before Eid al-Fitr,” he said in Semarang, Saturday (6/4/2024). Present on this occasion, Chairman of Fatayat Branch of Semarang City Hj Istighfaroh, Rais MWC NU Banyumanik KH Aminuddin, cadres of Ansor, Banser and Muslimat, as well as other invitees.

Endang said that the activity, which carries the theme of 'Sharing the Blessings of Kindness in the Holy Moon', was also held in cooperation with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the support of various parties. He hopes that this activity will provide a lot of expediency, both to the administrators, cadres of Fatayat NU and the general public. Moreover, he said, this positive activity can continue to be carried out consistently not only during Ramadan, by reaching more orphans and dhuafa people.

“We hope that this event of sharing kindness is not limited to Ramadan alone. We want to be actively involved in mentoring orphans, particularly to ensure they can get proper access to education and healthcare. Let us not excommunicate them,” explained Lilis, Hj Endang Listyowati's familiar greeting.

Lilis also revealed that the Orphan Child Benefit and Buka Bersama activities, held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (BDK) in Semarang City, are also organized with the support of KFC, Danone Aqua, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and Bank BRI. He expressed his gratitude for the many companies willing to be actively involved in such social activities.

“Fatayat NU is very grateful that the company's many support proves that caring for these orphans is truly a shared obligation. Without joining hands, it would certainly be hard to help them,” he said.
