All of them are grouped according to their respective fragments in a clear plastic wrap. Each pack of money amounts to Rp 100 thousand which is marked with a price of Rp 115 thousand per pack. “This one pack contains Rp 100 thousand, we sell Rp 115 thousand,” Lamriah said.

He along with other new money exchange service providers toured the terminal. They are trying to offer new money from one passenger to another.

Lamriah claimed to have been involved in the business for years every time leading up to Lebaran. “I've been in the business of exchanging money like this for a long time. If every time Lebaran is business like this. If not Lebaran, I usually sell clothes,” says Lamriah, who feels it is more profitable to offer new money exchange services than to sell clothes.

Only, he did not explain where to get the stock of new money in large quantities. As for each day of Lebaran, Bank Indonesia (BI) provides new currency exchange facilities to the public.
