REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDAN -- Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution made a sudden inspection (sidak) by forcibly closing the Heaven Seven Club night entertainment venue during the holy month of Ramadan. Because, this night entertainment venue on Jalan Abdullah Lubis Medan did not heed the Medan Mayor's Circular No. 400-8-2-3/1871 dated March 6, 2024.
“The temporary closure of this entertainment and leisure venture is valid from March 10 to April 10, 2024,” Bobby stressed in a release in Medan, Monday (25/3/2024).
The policy issued by this party, is to respect and at the same time respect Muslims in performing the worship of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1445 H. However, in fact, Heaven Seven Club does not respect the Muslim fasting month in Medan City by remaining in operation.
Even some time ago, this entertainment venue was visited by a rogue party, but the management did not heed the invitation to close temporarily. “I made sure straight away by doing sitak. Even disguised as a visitor on Saturday (23/3) around 22:40pm,” Bobby said.
At the location, the Mayor of Medan claimed to pretend to ask the security officer, if he could enter the Heaven Seven Club. “Open this?. Can you get in? ,” Bobby asked. “Can you please, open this,” said the security officer who was at the entertainment venue that night without realising he was the mayor of Medan.
At that time, Bobby came alone with no associated regional device organization (OPD). Only after he entered and carried out the sidecar, a number of OPDs up to the Medan City Forkompinda were docked, such as the Medan Polrestabes.
Inside the entertainment venue, Bobby called the management to expressly request that the operation be temporarily closed in honor of the fasting month. “A circular has been sent to close temporarily. Until April 10 only, because Muslims are now the focus of worship. Please be appreciated. Anyway this has to close first,” insists Bobby.
The head of Satpol Pamong Praja of Medan City Rakhmat Harahap confirmed that Mayor Bobby Nasution went directly to the night entertainment venue. “Mr. Mayor also asked management to shut it down,” he said.
