REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Magalengka---Young Generation (GGM) Talaga Manggung in Majalengka Regency has been inaugurated by SOE Minister Erick Thohir, on Friday (8/3/2024) yesterday. GGM was previously renovated using Pertamina's CSR fund worth Rp 70 billion. After the inauguration, Pertamina handed over the care of GGM Talaga Manggung to the Majalengka Government.
For the maintenance of sports facilities located on Jalan KH Abdul Halim, Kecamatan/Majalengka Regency, the Majalengka Government has also prepared a budget in the 2024 Budget of Rp 500 million. “God willing, GGM Talaga Manggung is well maintained. The maintenance budget has been prepared,” said Pj Bupati Majalengka Dedi Supandi on Monday (11/3/2024).
In addition, he said, the Department of Youth and Sports (Dispora) of Majalengka Regency has also prepared a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the use of GGM Talaga Manggung for the community and sports events. This is to keep the GGM well maintained.
“We ensure that the revitalized GGM using Pertamina's CSR can be used as best as possible for the benefit of the Majalengka community,” Dedi said.
Dedi added that the Majalengka Regency Dispora has also prepared eight special officers. They are in charge of caring for sports facilities and infrastructure at GGM Talaga Manggung. The Majalengka Cabinet also began to organize various activities to bring the international standard sports facilities to life. “GGM Talaga Giggung will be used as best it can,” Dedi said.
Meanwhile, when inaugurating GGM Talaga Manggung, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir said, the GGM became one of the best in Indonesia. Erick also hopes that the facility will be put to good use to give birth to a potential generation of young people.
“This place has given birth to a national figure, which means it has tremendous potential from the young generation of Majalengka,” Erick said.
Erick also advised that GGM be properly cared for. Not only for physical activity, but also for spiritual activities. “This place I believe can be a cultural and educational festival event, a place for discussion, and leadership education,” Erick said.
