REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Election Commission (KPU) RI denied the issue on the issue of the vote won by the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in the Legislative Elections (Elections) of DPR RI. The issue arose after the results of the real count while the KPU on the Sirekap publication page, that PSI's vote win rose dramatically by almost 400,000 in six days.
“There is no sound distortion, there are inaccuracies in optical character recognition (OCR) technology in reading photos of C.Plano mode forms,” Idham told reporters on Monday (4/3/2024).
As an overview, the results of vote counting at polling stations are recorded in form C.Plano results. The KPPS officer then photographs the form, and it is uploaded to the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) application. So, OCR technology converts the sound in that image format into text.
The conversion results of all TPS are then accumulated and uploaded on the page pemilu2024.kpu.go.id. When there is a conversion error, it ends up making the number of votes displayed on the 2024.kpu.go.id selection page inaccurate.
Idham said it is now correcting the data conversion error. The correction process is carried out with reference to the form C.Result.
The party also corrected conversion errors that people found on the election page2024.kpu.go.id. “Here the importance of the role and active role of Sirekap accusers to convey that there have been inaccuracies,” he said.
Despite the conversion error, Idham confirmed that the official vote tally did not refer to the data displayed on the election page2024.kpu.go.id. Official vote gains refer to the results of a tiered manual recapitulation.
“Once again we tell you that the official results of the votes of the election participants were based on the recapitulation carried out on a tiered basis, starting from the KDP, the district/city KPU, the provincial KPU, and finally at the level of the RI Commission,” said the Coordinator of the Technical Division of Election Organization of KPU RI.
Idham exemplified the results of vote counting in TPS 4, Bukakan Village, Cibeber District, Cilegon City, Banten. On the election page2024.kpu.go.id, it appears PSI got 69 votes.
In the form C.The results of the polling station, PSI recorded only 1 vote. In the D.Result form (results of recapitulation of votes at the district level), PSI was still recorded as getting 1 vote.
Idham sent the D.Results document to reporters to be re-checked. The result is correct, the PSI vote remains 1.
That is, there is no PSI sound warping in the manual recapitulation process. There are only data conversion errors displayed on the selection page2024.kpu.go.id.
Earlier, the results of Republika's observation of the electoral vote data of the Parliament of RI on the election page 2024.kpu.go.id showed that the PSI vote win “exploded” or jumped dramatically.
On Monday (26/2/2023) at 06:00pm, PSI was listed as getting 2,001,493 votes or 2.68 percent. So, on Saturday (2/3/2023) at 13.00 WIB, it was recorded that PSI had received 2,399,469 votes or 3.13 percent. That is, PSI gained an additional 397,976 votes in six days on the pages of publications that are not the official reference.
