Some leaders of other countries have also congratulated Prabowo. This was revealed by Prabowo through his official X account. “This morning I received a phone call with congratulations on the results of the elections that are still taking place from some of the leaders of the country. Australian Prime Minister PM Anthony Albanese, Singapore Prime Minister PM Lee Hsien Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister PM Anwar Ibrahim, and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Thank God, we must be grateful and continue to monitor the official results of the Commission,” Prabowo said in his X account on Thursday.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was the first foreign leader to congratulate Prabowo. “As a fellow democracy and close friend, Australia congratulates Indonesia for successfully holding a presidential election on February 14,” Mr Albanese said on his official X account on Thursday.

“I am honoured to be the first foreign leader to speak today with Prabowo, who clearly excels in official and unofficial tallies, regarding my ambitions for the future of Australia-Indonesia relations. I look forward to working with the new Indonesian president after he is sworn in in October 2024,” Albanese added.

Various quick counts of the presidential election showed Prabowo gaining more than 50 percent of the vote. Until last Thursday, the results of the Indicator's quick count showed Prabowo winning 58 percent of the vote. While Anies Baswedan 25.32 percent and Ganjar Pranowo 16.68 percent.

In the results of the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) quick count, Prabowo won 58.16 percent of the vote. Anies Baswedan 25.21 percent and Ganjar Pranowo 16.64 percent. Meanwhile, in Charta Politika's quick tally, Prabowo received 57.81 percent of the vote, Anies 25.66 percent, and Ganjar 16.51 percent.

The results of a quick count of the 2024 presidential election in several other pollsters show percentages that are not much different. That gave rise to the notion that the presidential election would only last one round with Prabowo becoming president-elect.
