REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) Chairman Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said volunteers in the area are the spearhead to win the number 2 candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election once again.
“Of course, the presence of volunteers, who are the spearhead of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, will play a very important role to be able to ensure that we win this in one go,” Rosan said in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/2/2024).
According to Rosan, volunteers play a role in raising the votes of voters in the area through declarations of support to socialize the Prabowo-Gibran program to the community, especially young voters.
In addition, he added, one of the TKN's efforts to attract a mass of young voters was by placing Arief Rosyid Hasan as the commander of TKN Fanta young voters Prabowo-Gibran.
The presence of Arief who was a youngster was considered able to attract the attention of novice voters to support Prabowo-Gibran.
Therefore, with the meeting of all Prabowo-Gibran volunteers in one of the hotels in South Jakarta, Jakarta, on Monday (5/2), it is expected to increase cooperation and cohesion between supporters to win Prabowo-Gibran.
Earlier, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka also stressed the importance of volunteers' role in inviting people to vote at polling stations (polling stations) on February 14.
“It doesn't mean that a lot of people abstain, it doesn't mean that millennials, Generation Z abstain. I send a message to volunteers and others, to invite everyone to come to the polling stations on February 14,” Gibran said.
The General Election Commission (KPU) of RI has designated three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD sequence number 3.
The campaign period for the 2024 presidential election runs from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then schedule voting on February 14, 2024.
