REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir inaugurated the revitalization project of Bali Beach Convention Center in Sanur, Denpasar City, Bali Province, Tuesday (30/1/2024). The project carried out by Nindya Karya is part of the development of the Special Economic Area (KEK) of Sanur.
In his speech, Erick Thohir said that the revitalization is a strategic step by the government to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian tourism, especially Bali. It is hoped that the operation of Bali Beach Convention Center will make more and more tourists come to the Island of the Gods.
“KEK Sanur can be a model for KEK development in other regions of Indonesia, in creating an integrated health tourism ecosystem. So that it can attract domestic and foreign tourists,” Erick said in a press release in Jakarta, Thursday (1/2/2024).
The Bali Beach Convention Center has an area of 3,750 square meters (m2) and is able to accommodate 5,000 people. The largest convention center in Indonesia is ready to be used for meetings, conferences, and exhibitions, both on a national and international scale.
Production Director and HSE Nindya Karya, Firmansyah is proud of the masterpieces his company has done. “We are proud to be part of the KEK Sanur project. Nindya Karya has deployed all resources to ensure this project can proceed according to its targets,” he said.
Bali Beach Convention Center is one of three buildings revitalized by Nindya Karya. Two other projects he worked on were the Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel (now renamed The Meru) and the Inna Bali Beach Garden.
According to Firmansyah, the revitalization of Bali Beach Convention Center is a testament to Nindya Karya's commitment to provide the best in the development of world-class infrastructure in Indonesia. “Nindya is committed to continuing to innovate and provide solutions that are best for society,” he said.
