REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- This year's PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) People's Business Credit Facility (KUR) has officially opened. The public, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), can also apply directly.

In 2024, BRI will receive a KUR allocation of IDR 165 trillion from the government's target of IDR 300 trillion. This figure is lower than BRI's KUR allocation last year which reached IDR 194.4 trillion.

However, the allocation given to the company this year is slightly higher than the actual distribution of BRI KUR in 2023. Last year, BRI KUR distribution amounted to IDR 163.3 trillion to 3.5 million debtors. The majority was channeled to the production sector with a proportion reaching 57.38 percent.

As is known, so far BRI is the largest KUR distributor. This can be seen from BRI's KUR distribution since 2020.

In 2020, BRI's total KUR distribution was IDR 138.5 trillion. This figure is equivalent to more than 60 percent of the government's KUR target for that year, which was IDR 190 trillion. Then throughout 2021, the realization of BRI KUR distribution was IDR 195.6 trillion or 75 percent of Himbara's total quota of IDR 262.9 trillion. Distribution allocation to the Production Sector is 59 percent and the Non-Production Sector is 41 percent.

Next, throughout 2022, BRI KUR disbursed will be IDR 252.3 trillion. "The BRI KUR quota set by the government for 2022 is IDR 257.39 trillion, which can be distributed at IDR 252.38 trillion. "So the realization of the BBRI KUR distribution target throughout 2022 is reported to have reached 98.05 percent, which has been distributed to 6.5 million debtors," BRI President Director Sunarso said on the agenda of the DPR RI Commission XI Hearing Meeting at the beginning of last year.

Meanwhile, until October 2023, the state-owned bank's KUR distribution reached IDR 123.51 trillion to 2.7 million debtors. This amount is 63 percent of the government's allocation to BRI of IDR 194.4 trillion. "BRI KUR distribution was only distributed significantly after the KUR distribution policy guidelines and tools were published in early September 2023," said BRI Micro Business Director Supari.

Meanwhile, the government's target for BRI has been revised from the previous Rp. 270 trillion. Last year, the government also revised the target for KUR distribution from IDR 450 trillion to IDR 297 trillion.
