REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that the extended family of BUMN entrusts the sustainability of tolerance and the unity of the nation to Prabowo Subianto. Erick judged unity and unity to be key in boosting economic growth and also the role of state owned enterprises as a bulwark of the national economy.
“With all sincerity, I and all of us present entrust Mr. Prabowo, sir, to preserve the tolerance of Indonesian religious people for today and for the future. We offer to Mr. Prabowo, unity and unity so that we become a developed, prosperous and global country,” Erick said at the Joint Christmas Celebration with Ministry of State 2023 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Monday (15/1/2024).
Erick said that the celebration of Christmas with the Ministry of state-owned enterprises and state owned enterprises 2023 was a special moment for him. Because this time, the Christmas celebration with the Ministry of state-owned enterprises and state owned enterprises was attended by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
“Today is special for me because there are two people in attendance. Which, indeed, during the celebration rarely invites from other ministries,” Erick said.
Erick said Minister of religious affair was a friend in Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Also with Prabowo, who is a figure he greatly respects and learned a lot from Prabowo in loving this nation with the whole.
“How he raised the red and white flag on the highest mountain in the world, how he maintained unity and unity,” Erick said.
Erick said that Prabowo is a big BUMN family. Erick said Prabowo is the grandson of Margono Djojohadikoesoemo
who is the founder of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).
“This is the state-owned bank that is now the number four largest in Indonesia,” Erick continued.
Erick said BNI has also been Indonesia's international bank since the 1950s to 1960s in the UK to Japan.
“BNI today continues to be given the task of consolidating Indonesian migrant workers (PMI), which provides a lot of foreign exchange for the country. It means that the contribution of Mr. Prabowo's family in BUMN is real,” Erick said.
