REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BONE BOLANGO -- The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Bone Bolango District and the Takmirul Agency of Masjid Nida'ul Khairaat of Pauwo District, Kabila District organized the socialization of the formation of the mosque zakat collecting unit.
The chairman of Baznas Bone Bolango, Gorontalo Province, Faisal Hasim Pakaya in Gorontalo, said Sunday the establishment of a zakat collecting unit (UPZ) was very important, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
“The hope is that the later amils who collect zakat fitrah are at least equipped with the legality of the decree (decree) as the amil of Baznas Bone Bolango,” Faisal said.
According to him, with the decree, later the administrators of the UPZ of the mosque will be provided with debriefing from Baznas. “The UPZs of this mosque will be provided with rules about the UPZ, including how zakat is distributed, administration, utilization, and recording of reporting as well,” he said.
He said that the implementation of the socialization of the establishment of UPZ mosques from the third week of January 2024, it will also socialize at four points including in the areas of Bone Coastal, Suwawa, Kabila, and Tapa Bulango.
“We have programmed this socialization activity, God willing we will carry out this third week. Even if in the third week it has not been reached, at the latest in the fourth week we will start socializing about the UPZ of this mosque,” Faisal said.
Chairman of Takmirul Masjid Nida'ul Khairaat Board Pauwo Suleman Adadau explained that the plan of his party wants to carry out the socialization of UPZ formation techniques at the level of Takmirul Masjid body is a long time ago.
“Since the formation of the UPZ in the Nida'ul Khairaat Mosque, in fact, I have long taken the initiative to gather friends of the Takmirul Masjid Agency in Pauwo Village so that we can form UPZ at the level of the mosque's takmirul,” Suleman explained.
According to the Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch (PCNU) of Bone Bolango District, the establishment of UPZ mosque was important because to disobey what was becoming the program and rules in the Baznas of Bone Bolango District.
