REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Askar Kauny for a decade has given birth to a generation of Quranists through the trail of Dakwah extending the Kauny Method of Quranic memorization throughout Indonesia.
Dody Halim, President Director of the Askar Kauny Foundation, said that through the Ma'had program (Pesantren) at least through 2023, 1,000 more nurses from special families have received benefits.
“God willing, Askar Kauny initiated the Kauny Quran Village (KQK) program in Ma'had Askar Kauny Subang with the _tagline_ Happy with the Qur'an for 2024,” Dody said in a written statement, Friday, January 5, 2024.
Dody explained KQK encourages the active involvement of the santri in transmitting the _habit_ of reading the Qur'an to the surrounding community. Trying to revive positive activities in society that can reduce destructive seeds, especially among children and adolescents.
“Through KQK we also carry out gradual mapping in an effort to encourage the increase of local Human Resources (HR) capacity and support potential productive ventures around the boarding school area. So that Happiness with the Quran will comprehensively take place in the communities that are the target of the program's development,” Dody explained.
Meanwhile, Ranus Saputra Director of Askar Kauny Program said that throughout 2023 Askar Kauny has traced its footprint to 545,640 beneficiaries through various programs both at home and abroad.
“For domestically through food programs has provided kindness to 1,331 beneficiaries in 9 provinces, 20 districts/cities in Indonesia; has provided educational scholarships to 646 beneficiaries in 9 provinces; for daqwah services has provided kindness to 10,615 beneficiaries; Askar Kauny has also channeled 609 Qur'ans and 6 Qur'ans braile in 3 provinces; provided educational services to 1,000 more students in 4 schools in 4 provinces; and has provided infrastructure facilities for 5 units housing Al-Qur& teachers “An, 5 MCK units & septic tanks, 5 ablution units, 5 wells, 1 motor unit in 4 provinces,” said Ranus.
As for overseas beneficiaries Ranus added, Askar Kauny has distributed food and sanitation packages to 1,580 beneficiaries in 3 locations in Palestine. Delivers food parcels to 6,725 beneficiaries in Turkey and Syria. Distributed food parcels and provided Health services to 412 beneficiaries in Uganda and Morocco.
Then Dody Halim said that in order to expand the program and its usefulness in 2024 Askar Kauny will establish collaboration with stakeholders and policy.
“The involvement of the government apparatus is important as a formal foundation for the implementation of the program. Especially the active involvement of the community in the area of the program site as an effort to increase the percentage of success of the program. In addition by involving other social institutions that have a vision and mission in line. Finally, Askar Kauny needs donor support as the “gasoline” that fuels the running of the program. So complete it feels like the goodness of this jariyah will be enjoyed together,” said Dody.
Finally, Dody said that 2024 is only a reversal from the previous numbers, most importantly it addresses every change in numbers, meaning that Askar Kauny will face various challenges ahead.
“The adaptive process will certainly continue to take place as the existing challenges also continue to change, which is why Askar Kauny is committed to being a gentle preaching and philanthropic institution within the corridors and guides of formal and sharia law. Strengthening of HR as a manager will also continue to be carried out so that achieving the goals of professional, accountable and transparent governance can be realized and maintained consistently and systematically. Askar Kauny agreed that, as an institution with the main program of Quranic proclamation, it will strive to amaze Allah with the work and worship of the team in it,” he concluded.
