REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Prabowo Subianto's spokesman Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak says his boss will bring up the issue of Palestinian independence in the third debate of the 2024 presidential election. At the brainstorming event, Prabowo will reiterate his commitment to establish an Indonesian embassy in Palestine if elected president.
“Regarding foreign politics, Prabowo's commitment will be to explore and fight for the construction of an Indonesian embassy in Palestine,” Dahnil told reporters in Jakarta on Friday (5/1/2024).
Dahnil said that the establishment of the Indonesian embassy in Palestine will be a symbolic message that the country's independence in the Middle East is Indonesia's historical debt. Because, he said, Palestinian independence is part of Indonesia's independence struggle.
“So, Prabowo, when he was president, established the Indonesian Embassy there (Palestine). It was mandatory for him,” Dahnil said.
KPU RI will hold the third debate of the 2024 Presidential Election bringing together the candidates in Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (7/1/2023). Presidents Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto, and Ganjar Pranowo will clash over ideas related to the themes of defense, security, international relations, globalization, geopolitics, and foreign politics.
