Sri Mulyani said efforts to achieve equitable development are not easy because of the many challenges that need to be faced. Moreover, Indonesia is a developing country with a large population, namely 270 million inhabitants, and has such a wide geography.

“There are three different time zones. The infrastructure needs are very real,” he said.

Therefore, the State Treasurer hopes that PT PII can develop its knowledge, broaden its ecosystem, increase the number of practitioners, expand collaboration with other relevant institutions. In addition, Sri Mulyani also hopes that PT PII can continuously develop its reputation. So far, Sri Mulyani believes that PT PII has been able to maintain good performance, especially from the growing equity side.

“From the beginning of the first PMN Rp 1 trillion to Rp 10 trillion, then organically it rises to Rp 16 trillion, to guarantee that the value is above Rp 90 trillion with the project value of Rp 447 trillion. More than 40 times the leverage of the capital the government invests,” he said.

Sri Mulyani also gave instructions to the PT PII ranks to be able to actively identify, take initiatives, and resolve infrastructure development issues in Indonesia. According to him, PT PII's performance can influence the international worldview of Indonesia's development sector.

“The international world will see if Indonesia is able to continue our journey of building Indonesia sustainably and with good governance. It was something of hope and at the same time an aspiration,” Sri Mulyani said.
