PBNU Claims Removal of PWNU East Java Chairman According to Rules

PBNU asks all parties not to exaggerate the removal.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- Deputy Chairman of the General Manager of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Amin Said Husni is protesting the removal of KH Marzuki Mustamar from his post as chairman of PWNU East Java. He said the dismissal of the Chairman of PWNU East Java was a common internal problem in the organization.

“It's a common thing. Internal issues of the organization,” Amin Said said on Thursday (28/12/2023).

He also asked that certain parties who did not understand the issues underlying Kiai Marzuki's removal not to comment.

“So do not exaggerate, especially this is the internal nature of the organization. Anyone, let alone one who does not understand the issue, does not need to participate in commenting,” he said.

Amin said that the dismissal of KH Marzuki had also been processed a long time ago, and had nothing to do with the practical political interests of 2024. In addition, he said, the dismissal poses are also in accordance with AD/ART and existing provisions.

Regarding who will be appointed to replace KH Marzuki, Amin stated that there are already rules. “Yes, according to the rules,” he said.
