REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The promise of Allah SWT regarding sustenance to His creatures is certain. Allah has the power to extend His sustenance to certain people, but on the contrary He can narrow it.

Allah says in the Quran Surah Al Isra verse 30:

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۗاِنَّهٗ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهٖ خَبِيْرًاۢ بَصِيْرًا

Which means, “Truly your Lord provides sustenance for whom He wills and constricts (Him for whom He wills). Verily He is the Most Merciful of His Servants.”

In the interpretation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs it is explained that the main reason for the miserly nature of man is the fear of being plunged into poverty. This verse reminds us that Allah (swt) provides sustenance for whom He wills to provide His sustenance, and restricts it to whom He wills to narrow His sustenance.

For He is Mahamengetahui of all things, and He has mercy on His servants. Allah gives His servant all that is needed and desired when he has the reasons to obtain it.

Allah also affirms that it is He who provides sustenance to whom He wills, and He limits it.

Everything goes according to the conditions God has set for His servants in the quest to find wealth and how to develop it.

It is closely related to the tools and knowledge of the processing of the treasure. This is the provision of Allah, which is general and applies to all His servants.

However, only Allah determines according to His will.

At the end of this verse, Allah affirms that He is Mahamengetahui of His servants, who among them use wealth for good and those who use it for charity.

He also knew who among his servants in poverty remained patient and trusting of God, and who, because of poverty, became desperate people, and were far from the mercy of Allah (SWT).

Allah has mercy on how they manage and manage their possessions, whether they spend the wealth of Allah's gifts lavishly or unwisely.

Therefore, Muslims should adhere to the precepts of Allah, obeying all His commandments and shunning His prohibitions. In spending property, be reasonable. That includes the Sunnah of Allah SWT.
