REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAMBI -- Thousands of worshippers of the Indonesian Santri Network (JSI) of Jambi Province held an end-of-year prayer and prayer event in 2023 with the title “Gratitude for the Blessings and Pray for a Better Future of the Nation,” at the former MTQ Arena, Jambi on Tuesday (26/12/2023).
Chairman of the Advisory Board of Santri Indonesia Network (JSI) Marzuki Alie said that this event was initiated by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of JSI, Prabowo Subianto, with the aim of inviting the community, especially Muslims, to be constantly grateful for all the favors and gifts given by Allah SWT.
“Our agenda is prayer of thanksgiving and end-of-year prayer, this event was originally planned by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prabowo Subianto, why he wants this event to be held in various cities in Indonesia and not to invite all of us towards the end of the year we must give thanks,” Marzuki Alie said in his speech.
Marzuki also conveyed Prabowo's message, including inviting people to pray for the Indonesian nation in the next year for the best leader and to help the whole community.
“And we pray going forward that Indonesia will be even better, that we will elect leaders who are truly in love with their people, that we will get strong, decisive leaders,” he said.
“That is what we should pray for at this time so that this country remains protected by God and this country will be a country that is expected by all Indonesian people as the founders of the nation aspired to bring and provide prosperity to all Indonesian people,” he added.
Marzuki added that Prabowo also advised people in the 2024 presidential election, despite the different choices and opinions, to maintain harmony among others.
“I said once from Mr. Prabowo that democracy will be a contest if there is a difference in our choices, so even if we differ in our choice, we avoid slander, we avoid the hatred in the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia that Mr. Prabowo Subianto conveyed to the whole community.
Meanwhile, JSI City Chairman Jambi Maulana praised the ideas and programs of Prabowo, who is also Chairman of the JSI Board of Trustees, through a program of free lunches and milk for children, students and kindergartners and nutritional supplements for toddlers and pregnant women, because it can overcome stunting and provide adequate nutrition.
“I as a doctor also yes personally do still see a high rate of malnutrition, stunting especially in some areas of Eastern Indonesia for example and in Jambi itself there are still 14.1% of children who are stunting, so the approach is to provide adequate nutrition starting from pregnant women,” she explained.
Maulana said the program could also be the foundation for the superior generation to prepare Indonesia Gold 2045.
“Pregnant women are the most at risk because inside there is a growing fetus. This shows that this program will prepare the young generation, from pregnancy to toddlers, teenagers to inccrease their capacity,” he explained.
According to Maulana, this prayer can bring harmony and tranquility in this 2024 presidential election that is beginning to raise social tension.
“Hopefully we together pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that next year in 2024 we will maintain the brotherhood among us, both as children of the nation and fellow Muslims to carry out all existing democratic processes in a calm and peaceful family atmosphere and to invite the whole community to spread its religion so that society,” he said.
Furthermore, Maulana also appealed for people not to easily spread hoaxes or false news and not to join in spreading hoaxes that can cause divisions.
“Of course, we urge the whole community not to be easily affected by slander with incorrect information that circulates in the community for certain interests,” he said.
“Therefore, by increasing this prayer and prayer, God willing, we will be calmer and more thoughtful and ask for guidance from God so that this nation is given a leader who can really take Indonesia forward,” he concluded.
