Thousands of Muslims Show Solidarity for Palestine

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Thousands of citizens from different areas in Pandeglang Regency, Banten, crowded Menes Square to participate in the Solidarity Action for the Palestinian People initiated by the Alliance of Pandeglang Bela Palestina (AMPBP) in collaboration with various community organizations and social communities in Pandeglang Banten, Sunday, December 10, 2023.

“This action gathered about 45 community organizations and social communities in Pandeglang Banten,” Lili, chairman of the event said .

The activities, which took place from morning to noon today, began with Istighosah Kubro to pray for the Palestinians, then followed by listening to orations from the representatives of the organization's leadership present.

“The main objective of this action is to support the struggle of the Palestinian people by praying and raising targeted humanitarian funds capable of reaching IDR 200,000,000. Thank God, at the end of the event, a donation of about IDR 157,000,000 was collected, which we will later distribute through the Takaful Trust, which we appointed to realize aid to Palestine,” Lili said.

In this solidarity action Amanah Takaful participated actively preparing volunteers and service posts such as medical and other to facilitate the masses attending. In addition, Amanah Takaful also launched the “kencleng 3S (Alms of a Thousand Days)” movement for Palestine.

“This 3S (Thousand Days' Alms) movement is an initiative to facilitate people to continue their commitment to helping Palestinians in a light way that is charity through cleng,” said Ade Abduracahman, director of Amanah Takaful.

In addition, Amanah Takaful expressed its gratitude and appreciation to all parties who have placed their trust in the distribution of donations. “God willing we are committed to ensuring donations from the Pandeglang community reach the brothers in Palestine,” he said.
