Through the Tourism Fund, he expects the target of 14 million visits by foreign tourists (guysman) by 2024 can be reached. Moreover, he continued, there is a study of visa-free rules for visiting for 20 countries to Indonesia in order to increase visitor visits.

“We must also encourage how these world-class quality events are presented through the breakthrough of Indonesia Tourism Fund, which we will finalize so that we can achieve this target even with a limited budget because we also have election next year, but if the pattern of this (tourism) revival momentum can still be achieved, we can realize it,” Sandiaga said.

On Friday (8/12/2023), Sandiaga revealed that the Tourism Fund's funds for the parecrafal sector reached Rp 2 trillion. In order for the fund to have an impact on the Indonesian economy, Kemenparekraf will curate a number of events so that the activities presented can have an impact on the well-being of local communities and open jobs.

The Ministry of Finance will also present world-class activities presented in five super priority tourism destinations (DPSP) in 2024 through the support of the fund.

Tourism Fund in Indonesia will be established with good governance, promoting sustainable and quality tourism by highlighting the excellence of domestic culture. The Tourism Fund is targeted to be established in 2024.
