REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN -- The club based in Sleman, Yogyakarta, PSS, has left for Jakarta to take part in the 2021-2022 Liga 1 season, which has already begun.
"We are ready. Indeed, there are one or two players who are not feeling well, so they may not be able to join immediately," said PT Putra Sleman Sembada (PSS) president director Marco Gracia Paulo, quoted from the club's official website, Saturday (29/8).
The Super Eagles Java squad gathered in Jakarta to prepare for the first match of the BRI Liga 1 2021-2022 in Series 1 which will be held in Greater Jakarta.
"One foreign player is already in the process of departing, and another soon. We are currently waiting for the official schedule. But we are ready for the first game," he said.
Marco also explained the readiness of Super Elja to participate in the BRI Liga 1 season 2021/2022, by anticipating various risks that might occur. "We are preparing a scenario if there is a worst possibility, a medium possibility and if it is according to our expectations, of course we are very grateful," he said.
However, Marco still expressed his optimism for the organization of this season's competition even though it was held in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. "Regarding the running of the competition, we are optimistic. Even with that optimism, we are still anticipating," Marco said.
The momentum of the PSS Sleman squad's departure to the capital by road was also captured on PSS's official Instagram page, by uploading photos and videos.
