REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG -- Surakarta Police has sent second summon against General Chairman of 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212), Slamet Ma'arif. He will be examined as suspect on alleged campaign violation case.
Police said examination will be held at Central Java Police headquarters on February 18. Slamet missed the first summon on Wednesday (Feb 13).
"He has sent a notice informing that he could not come today," Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police Agus Triatmaja said in Semarang, Wednesday (Feb 13).
Meanwhile, Slamet attorney, Eggi Sudjana told the reporters on Wednesday that a pretrial motion to be filed against the police's decision to name his client as a suspect in alleged campaign violation case. He wanted to clear Slamet's from suspect status.
According to Eggi, the suspect status was determined without holding case title. He said that he has never been invited to attend case title.
Previously, Poppy Kusuma, Commissioner for Violation Enforcement of Election Supervisory Board of Solo city (Bawaslu Solo) revealed Slamet as orator and tabligh akbar (grand sermon) participants had the same vision. It was revealed from the video recording of tabligh akbar which was used as evidence.
"During speech, Mr. Slamet asked participants with question, 'How about '2019?' then answered by 'Change the president'. 'With whom?', then they answered by saying Prabowo Subianto's name," said Poppy.
In addition, there were a number of other speeches leading to the campaign. The final part of Slamet's speech was directed to select certain presidential candidate pairs, Poppy said.
At that time, Slamet said, "If there is the president's picture (on ballots), please don't ruin it. We can not ruin president's picture, because we will get charged by law. If there is a picture of kiai, please don't ruin it, you will get accursed. But if you see the other picture besides it, so vote for it."
"So, there was an invitation to choose certain presidential and vice presidential candidates," said Poppy.
The oration was delivered at Tabligh Akbar of the 212 Alumni Brotherhood. The event was located in the Gladag area, Jl Slamet Riyadi, Solo.
