In addition, the parties to be summoned will also be questioned about whether the narrative and the content on the tabloid were true or not. If indeed these elements found, it was possible that there would be allegations of criminal violations, Dedi said.

"It is depend on the analysis results of the evidence which is currently examined by the team and various experts," he said.

Previously, the Press Council's plenary meeting on January 29, 2019 has decided that the Indonesia Barokah tabloid did not fulfill the requirements as a press company as stipulated in Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press, Press Council Regulations and Journalistic Code of Ethics.

In addition, for those who feel disadvantaged by the tabloid, the Press Council invited to use other laws outside the Press Law, because in terms of administration and content, Indonesia Barokah was not a product of journalism.

Meanwhile, Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) also stated that the tabloid content was not an election violation. Even so, Bawaslu has continued to investigate it.
