REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of National Campaign Team (TKN) for incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-KH Ma'ruf Amin, Erick Thohir, visited the residence of vice president candidate, KH Ma'ruf Amin, at Situbondo Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Monday (Dec 10). In the meeting, Erick discussed the results of Ma'ruf's hospitality visits to various regions in Indonesia.

Erick arrived in a dark green shirt which had similar colour to Ma'ruf's sarong. According to him, the similarity of colors was a form of shared heart and vision.

Erick said that his arrival to evaluate and discuss Ma'ruf's visit to various regions.

"We want to synergize and inform the activities. Alhamdulillah, the results of silaturahim were welcomed," he told reporters after the meeting.

He asserted that the vice president candidate hadn't started the campaign, but he just visited for offering his hospitality (silaturahim). The first campaign will be held in January.

"He haven't campaigned yet. It will be started in January," he said.

Erick was reluctant to specify about the campaign, but he revealed that Ma'ruf's campaign would be filled with many surprises. "Insya Allah (God's willing), there will be many surprises," he added.

Previously, Ma'ruf had visited to various regions such as Tasikmalaya, Garut, Medan, Lampung, Banten.
