REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — National Campaign Team (TKN) or success team of incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) - KH Ma’ruf Amin held a limited meeting with Jokowi’s volunteers in New York, United States on Monday (Dec 3) local time. The meeting was intended for consolidation.

During consolidation, TKN provided assistance in the form of t-shirt bearing #01 as well as funds for volunteer activities. According to deputy director of political communication, Meutya Hafid, assistance from TKN increased the enthusiasm of Jokowi's volunteers who have big spirit in joining activities, both in New York and surrounding cities.

“We hope can continue to socialize number 01 presidential candidate with courtesy and civilized and avoid hoaxes (fake news),” said Meutya in a press statement received on Tuesday (Dec 4).

The limited meeting discussed about Jokowi's winning strategy in the United States. Awareness of the possible use of politics of lies in the 2019 election highlighted in the meeting. It was said that the trend similar to United States President Donald Trump's victory.

Protection of Indonesian citizens abroad and diaspora cards also discussed in the meeting. In addition, culinary diplomacy as one of the missions and visions of number 01 presidential candidate was discussed. It expected to be able to encourage economic stretches among Indonesian people abroad.
