Jokowi explains again issues about foreign labor, PKI member

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Joko Widodo met representatives of scholars from the district and City of Bogor and Depok, West Java, on Wednesday afternoon. Silaturahim (the gathering) lasted for a few minutes after the Maghrib prayer until before the evening prayer.

Minister of State Pratikno and Minister of Religion Lukman Hakim Syaifuddin accompanied Jokowi to the event, which took place at Baitussalam Mosque, Bogor Presidential Palace Complex. During the occasion, Jokowi conveyed several issues that had been happening in the community.

"I want to convey a number of things; maybe, it has been delivered several times. Some may have heard and some may not have," Jokowi, who wore a dark suit and black cap, explained.

Some of the issues conveyed by Jokowi included issues regarding foreign labor, the issue that Jokowi was driven by foreigners, and the issue of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). He has conveyed similar explanation for many times in different occasions.

"I have had this issue for four years, but I did not answer it. But this time, while I was holding a meeting, I gave an answer," he remarked.
