REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Wiranto was scheduled to lead national dialogue at his office on Friday (Nov 9) morning. A number of Islamic mass organizations, such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah listed as guests.
The dialogue started at 8.00 WIB (Indonesia West Standard Time) at Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs at Medan Merdeka Barat street in Central Jakarta. The theme of the dialogue is ‘Dengan Semangat Ukhuwah islamiyah Kita Jaga persatuan dan Kesatuan Bangsa’ or ‘With the Spirit of Muslim Fraternity, We Maintain National Unity’.
The activity will be attended by Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim, and leaders of Islamic mass organizations, also a number of Islamic figures. The dialogue also coincides with National Heroes Day which is celebrated every November 10th.
Republika.co.id monitored, Islamic mass organizations that invited and confirmed to attend the discussion are LDII, MUI, PBNU, PP Muhammadiyah, Al Irsyad, PITI, and Sarekat Islam. Then, Islamic mass organizations, which invited but not confirmed yet are Majelis Az zikra, FPI, Nahdlatul Wathon, GNPF Ulama, Alumni 212, Presidium 212, GNPF MUI, GP Ansor.
