REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Member of National Campaign Team (TKN) of the Indonesian Work Coalition, Abdul Kadir Karding said PBB to remain solid despite it's chairman decision to support incumbent President Joko Widodo-KH Ma'ruf Amin. He believed many of PBB cadres are loyalist of Yusril.

Karding opined that PBB cadres mostly will join and support Yusril, so there will be no split in the party. “Not all will join, but Yusril is the main figure of PBB, so I believe many of cadres will give support to Yusril,” said Karding on Thursday (Nov 8).

Despite political choice differences, Karding assessed Yusril will not be expelled from his position. Karding said Yusril as PBB founder will always try to maintain his party.

“So I think it’s very difficult until he is dismissed from his position in PBB,” Karding added.

Meanwhile, PBB admitted Yusril who decided to be Jokowi - Ma’ruf attorney will bring a significant influence to the movement of the party. It could affect the grassroots and legislative candidates.

However, PBB has not determined yet the direction of support before national working meeting (mukernas) in early December. In the meeting, all the administrators of parties in province and branches will be listened first.

“In mukernas, we will determine the direction of support in 2019 presidential election,” said PBB member Sukmo Harsono.
