PTDI receives an order for 20 units of N219 aircraft

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- State-owned aircraft maker PT Dirgantara Indonesia received an order for 20 units of N219 aircraft from PT Aviastar Mandiri. It will to be used for air transport in isolated areas.

"N219 Nurtanio aircraft could be used for the transport of passengers and cargoes in isolated areas," Commercial Director of PTDI Irzal Rinaldi said here on Thursday.

PTDI and PT Aviastar signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of Indonesia Business and Development (IBD) Expo 2018 in this East Java capital on Wednesday.

Signing the agreement were Commercial Director of PTDI Irzal Rinaldi and Chief Executive of PT Aviastar Mandiri, Muhammad Alvin Reza, in front of Deputy for Mining Business, Media and Strategy Industry at the Ministry of State Enterprises Fajar Harry Sampurno and Chief Executive of PTDI,Elfien Goentoro.

N219 Nurtanio aircraft has a seat capacity of 19 using two turboprop engines with a maximum speed of 210 knots and minimum speed of 59 knots.

PT Aviastar Mandiri is an airline serving flights in isolated areas in Indonesia including in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and Papua with home base in Jakarta.
