REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice Chairman of Central Board of Democratic Party Syarief Hasan revealed Democratic Party Chairman, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will have a meeting with Chariman of Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto. The meeting to be conducted in a near time.

"It has been scheduled on July 18 afternoon," Syarief said at Parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (July 16).

However, Syarief could not tell the exact location of the meeting. Nevertheless, communication with Prabowo has been maintained and seemed positive.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani hoped the meeting on Wednesday will be a productive one. Democratic Party will be asked to join the coalition to support Prabowo Subianto's candidacy in 2019 presidential election.

The discourse will be finalized during the Wednesday's meeting. "They will also discuss the possibility to pair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as Prabowo's running mate," Muzani said at the Parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday.

Earlier, Vice Chairman of Democratic Party's Board of Trustees Agus Hermanto met with Hasto Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Hasto Kristianto at PDIP headquarters at Diponegoro Street, Central Jakarta on Friday (July 13). They met for about 30 minutes.

Agus claimed it was a friendship meeting. They talked general issues. "Specific issues could be discussed later," he said.
