REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ustaz Abdul Somad (USA) received the request of the National Tithe Agency (Baznas) to become ambassador of the Indonesian tithe. He will be in charge of promoting tithe throughout the country.

"Thank to God, Ustaz Abdul Somad is ready to become the ambassador of the Indonesia tithe. May his name and charism will further enliven the tithe awakening spirit in this country," Zainulbahar Noor, the vice chairman of Baznas Agency, said in a written message received in Jakarta, on Thursday.

Zainul said Ustaz Abdul Somad constituted a popular preacher who is also part of big asset of the country, thus having a very large magnet in the world preaching activity.

"We hope that being the ambassador of the Indonesian tithe agency who always asks the Indonesian public to channel their title through a legal institution will make the tithe movement more optimal and earthen the motto "being strong because of tithe," he remarked.

Furthermore, a massive promotion will make tithe become a life style in the community. Ustaz Abdul Somad said that "Let's tithe at Baznas. Please don't eat unlawful possessions as inside our possessions there is a right of the poor."

Ustaz Somad ever became a member of Baznas agency of Riau provincial chapter from 2009 up to 2014, a member of the Indonesia's Ulemas Association (2009-2014).
