Budiman met the president, along with other KPU commissioners, including Ilham Saputra, Evi Novida Ginting Manik, Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi, Hasyim Asy'ari, and Virdan. There are already 28 cases on electoral disputes, which have been filed with the MK until Tuesday (July 10). "The KPU is now making preparations for the organizing of the legislative and presidential elections, for example, by finalizing the voters' data, overseas election committees (PPLN), registration process of would-be members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), Regional Legislative Assembly (DPRD), and the nominations of president and vice president," Budiman remarked.

However, until the eighth day of the registration of candidates, there is no single political party that has registered its candidate to become a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) to KPU.

"The president hopes that the KPU would call on them to register earlier. The registration of a minister who seeks to be a legislative candidate was not discussed in the meeting. But KPU had conveyed about things that are regulated and based on the provisions of the laws," Budiman noted.

The Presidential Special Staff, Johan Budi, who attended the meeting, explained that until now there has been no minister in the working cabinet who has expressed his desire to be nominated for legislative elections in 2019.

"Until today, there has not been a minister who has conveyed his nomination in the legislature to the president. The KPU added that no one has registered till date," Budi pointed out.
