REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Xiao Qian met Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto here on Wednesday afternoon. Qian, who replaces Xie Feng as the Chinese government's representative in Indonesia, paid a visit along with certain Chinese delegations to the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Office.
Qian, who began working in Indonesia since early 2018, immediately entered the office to hold the meeting.
Apart from Ambassador Qian, Minister Wiranto had earlier received the US-ASEAN representative of the Business Council at his office on Wednesday morning.

The US-ASEAN Business Council delegation, led by Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director Michael Michalak, held an hour-long closed-door meeting with Wiranto.
Before meeting Wiranto, the US-ASEAN Business Council delegation also met President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs during which investment opportunities in the maritime sector were discussed.
