REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has had lunch with Vice President Jusuf Kalla. They discussed efforts to increase investment in Indonesia.

"(We have discussed) matters relating to investment, exports and incentives. We will discuss it again this week after the visit of the vice president to Afghanistan," Jokowi told the media about the meeting with Vice President at the Athlete House in Jakarta on Monday.

Jokowi said the government has recorded details that need to be done to increase investment and trade.

"In essence, we have started to make the details, we have the checklist about what should be done what has been done. Everything has been seen," said the President.

The Government has formulated the use of state-budget instruments, including taxation, to encourage priority activities, both investment in the framework of business expansion and training activities for the workforce.

The utilization of APBN to encourage the investment may consist of a number of instruments including incentives, tax allowance and tax holiday.

This is done by Indonesia to spur investment and trade across the country and abroad.
