REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The defendant in e-ID procurement graft case, Setya Novanto refused to give many comments related to hearing session of his ex-lawyer, Fredrich Yunadi. He only said that it becomes Fredrich's own business. "It's Mr Fredrich's own business," said Novanto on on Thursday (Feb 8).
Fredrich's inaugural session held at Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (Feb 8). The anti-graft body prosecutors have set him as defendant for obstructing investigation of Setya Novanto in corruption of e-ID card procurement case, along with Bimanesh Sutarjo, an internist at Medika Permata Hijau hospital.

Both of them allegedly conspired to manipulate Setya's medical record. They also believed made arrangement for Setya to be hospitalized following a minor car accident in November 2017.
Fredrich and Bimanesh alleged to violate Article 21 Law No. 31/1999 as amended by Law No. 20/2001 on Eradication Corruption, also in Article 55 paragraph (1) criminal code (KUHP). They had been detained in two different detention center.

Earlier, Fredrich said the indictment letter that read by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor is fake. He also insisted that all of the charges for him are fake and he has evidences to prove it.
"I will prove how they (KPK investigators) manipulate all of my charges. I ask for a fair law enforcement and i will show the evidences of my statement," Fredrich added.
