REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Preacher Abdul Somad asked public to be careful of fraudulences on behalf him circulated through social media and also mobile phone numbers. Recently, many claims from irresponsible people used his name for personal gain.
"Beware of the fraud on behalf my name," said Abdul Somad through his Facebook account on Wednesday (January 17).
Ustaz Somad said never spread the kind of invitation through social media Facebook and any other messenger application. Abdul Somad asserted that his activity and scheduled to preach has been arranged by the official team.
He asked all society to be wary of social media accounts on behalf of him. Abdul Somad also explained that he only has four official accounts, started from Facebook with ustadz Abdul Somad name, Instagram @ustadzabdulsomad, Youtube Tafaqquh Video and Twitter @tafaqquhonline.
"My team and I have never asked for rewards in return, especially asking to be paid in advance," Abdul Somad added.
Furthermore, he conveyed to those who used his name for personal gain to repent to Allah SWT. He said people must find sustenance from halal sources.
