REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators conducted cross-examination of two suspects in alleged obstruction of justice case, namely lawyer Fredrich Yunadi (FY) and an internist at Medika Permata Hijau hospital, Bimanesh Sutarjo (BST). Both of them has been determined as suspect for obstructing investigation of Setya Novanto who is now the defendant in e-ID card graft case since January 10.
"FY was examined as witness for suspect BST and vice versa for intentionally, directly nor non directly obstructing investigation of e-ID card corruption case for suspect Setya Novanto," KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said at his office, Jakarta, on Tuesday (January 16).
Fredrich along with other suspect, Bimanesh Sutarjo, an internist at Medika Permata Hijau had allegedly conspired to manipulate Setya's medical records. They made arrangement for Setya to be hospitalized following a minor car accident in November 2017 in order for Setya to miss KPK summon.
KPK detained Fredrich and Bimanesh for 20 days. The anti-graft body sent them to two different detention center. Fredrich was detained at the State First Class Detention Center of East Jakarta KPK Branch since January 13. Bimanesh was detained since January 12 in the State Class First Detention Center East Jakarta KPK branch located in Pomdam Jaya Guntur, South Jakarta.
On the same day, KPK has also questioned suspect in e-ID card graft case, Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo, the director of PT Quadra Solution. Meanwhile, vice chairman of VIII Commission of House of Representatives, Abdul Malik Harmain, was questioned as witness for suspect Anang.
