Six projects from Ahok-Djarot era are behind schedule

Completion of Mampang - Kuningan underpass construction has reached only 61,5 percent on Wednesday (October 18).

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan noted there are six project from Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Djarot Saiful Hidayat era that would not be completed as scheduled.

Those project supposedly to be finished in December 15, while the completion so far in average only 65 percent.

"Meanwhile, the time left to finish the project is only two months. The work was started last year and apparently it will take more than a year to complete," he said at City Hall on Wednesday (October 10).

Anies revealed, the construction of Bintaro station, Cipinang Lontar station, Kartini underpass, Pancoran flyover, Mampang-Kuningan underpass and Matraman Salemba are all behind schedule.

People in charge to the projects have been summoned by Anies. He asked them to speed up the construction so it could be finished on time.

He reminded the consequences if the projects back off schedule. 

"It will be troublesome. We will have to hold new tender and the winner of the tender might not be the same company who started job initialy," he explained.

Moreover, the work on progress have created a horrible traffic congestion, especially because there are many projects that being constructed at the same time. He did not want the citizen to get more suffered because the traffic is worsen. 

"This is an order. Review all the project. I want written documents on how they will speed up the construction work submitted no later than Friday (October 20) morning," he stressed.
