REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly would evaluate the transfer of a defendant on blasphemy case Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) from Mobile Brigade headquarter (Mako Brimob) prison to Cipinang Correctional Institution.
“We evaluate first,,” he reiterated at Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Building, South Jakarta on Monday (July 3).
Previously, Junior Attorney for General Crime Agung Noor Rachmad said Ahok would be kept detained at Mako Brimob Prison.
Ahok was detained there as a request from Cipinang prison for the convenience of other prisoner. The noise of Ahok's supporters who demonstrate outside the building was feared to disturb other inmates.
Noor also revealed that the Attorney General had made a letter of execution for Ahok to be retransferred to Cipinang. But, Cipinang Correctional Institution sent another letter to Mako Brimob Prison, so the plan was canceled.
"So this is the request of Cipinang Detention Center,” said him.
