REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement here on Monday to congratulate Emmanuel Macron on his victory against Marine Le Pen in the French Presidential election.
The Indonesian Government also congratulated the French Government for successfully conducting a peaceful and safe second round of French presidential election which took place on May 7 2017.
Macron would be inaugurated at the Elysee Palace to replace President Francois Hollande on May 14 2017.

Furthermore, Indonesia is committed to enhance strategic partnership, which was established since 2011, with France and later was strengthened by France's President Hollande visit to Indonesia in March 2017.
Indonesia hoped that the cooperation between the two countries would contribute to the global and regional peace and security as well as to strengthen economic cooperation and a stronger social relationship between the two countries, the statement said.
