REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --In the trial of alleged religious blasphemy case, Tuesday (April 4), the public prosecutors presented four videos of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) statement. Those videos were evidences from complainants, presented by public prosecutors. 

The first video had 30 seconds of duration been uploaded by Buni Yani. The next video showed Ahok having a ‘doorstop’ interview in Jakarta City Hall. There was also a video when he was socializing a grouper fish cultivation program in Pramuka Island (part of Seribu Islands) on September 26, 2016. 

There were two videos located in Seribu Islands. The first showed Ahok finished his speech on 40 minutes. The second was the full version video with more than hour duration. It contained an interview between Ahok and media reporters. 

In the middle of video screening, the Chairman of Judges Panel Dwiarso Budi Santiarto asked Ahok whether the full version video played when he signed the investigation file at the National Police Headquarter. Ahok said only watched a part of it.  "When I signed my investigation report, I did not watch (the end of video). It was stopped when I put my microphone, before the question and answer session,” said him.

After the video in Seribu Islands, a video recording when Ahok gave an opening in National Democrat office was put on screen. But it was resumed for having lunch time. 

During the video playing, Ahok had stated his objection to the video recording played by the public prosecutors. He objected that the video file of socialization of grouper fish cultivation was named as ‘Ahok Insults Quran’. He said the valid video uploaded by Jakarta Provincial Government in Youtube did not contain that phrase. 

He objected the use of edited video as evidence in the trial. He said the video was cut and was added by the phrase to make a certain opinion. Responding to the objection, one of the prosecutors said the phrase was not found in the video, but it was only the name of the file. 

Ahok was charged in religious blasphemy case after quoting Al Maidah verse 51 in his speech at Pramuka Island on September 27, 2016. The public prosecutors also charged him with alternative accusation based on Article 156a or Article 156 of the Criminal Case.
