Indonesia deserves better movie ecosystem

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Head of Indonesian Creative Economic Agency (Bekraf) Triawan Munaf hoped National Movie Day (HFN) on Thursday (March 30) would be a momentum to provide a better movie ecosystem. He said it needed many improvements. 

Triawan said movie ecosystem referred to many parties involved in the movie industry, including movie producers, distributors, and the cinemas. “I hope movie practitioners had desire. They are hoped to make a better movie ecosystem. It is still tangling. We resolved a problem, other problems occurred,” said Triawan in East Jakarta on Thursday (30/3).

He added that there the development of technology grew fast. It impacted on the change movie ecosystem in Indonesia and in the world. Indonesia had to have a strategy in dealing with this. 

National Movie Day 2017 was celebrated in PFN Studio, East Jakarta. It was themed ‘Celebrating Indonesian Diversity’and was held for three days on March 30 to April 1.
