Deputy Editor in Chief of Republika Nur Hasan Murtiadji received the award directly from National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian. According to him, the award was a form of positive of appreciation from Police on reporting by the editorial team of Republika. "Republika prioritizing balance news and prioritizing facts of an event," he said at Rupatama Polri Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (March 15).
Hasan explained Republika as media has duty to continue to bring the facts to the readers. Therefore, he added, with receive award, Republika was seen to have run all functions accordingly. "It's not false information (hoax). Police saw Republika reporting with good journalistic ethics," he said.
Furthermore, responding to the police's invitation to make the media as partners of socialization and information to the public, Republika welcomed the invitation. We are ready to be a purifier or clearing news media by promoting factual information, real-time, balanced and reliable," he said.
Nevertheless, Hasan said the award should not make Republika complacent. This award as whip for all editors and crews to maintain Republika's position as professional media and uphold the ethics of journalism. "This award is a motivation for the all Republika editorial crew to continue to consistently be professional media and uphold the ethics of journalism," Hasan said.
As many as 16 other media also received award among others Antara, TVOne, Metro TV, Kompas TV, INews TV, CNN, TVRI, JakTV, Tribrata TV and Liputan6. Then Media Indonesia, Pos Kota Daily, Kompas, Elshinta, RRI, Sonora FM, and Detik.com. "Synergy Indonesian National Police and the media needs to be maintained.
